Following are my Terms of Design:
NOTE: I only design for BLOGGER Blogs!

DEPOSIT

All persons wanting to be added to the wait list will need to pay a $25 non-refundable deposit. This deposit will be applied to the cost of the total design. By submitting the deposit, you are agreeing to these terms. I will contact you when I am ready to start your design.

PAYMENT

All payments are made through PayPal. I will send you an invoice for the deposit before you are placed on the wait list, and I will send you a final bill when I am finished with your design. I will not be able to upload your design onto your blog until the final payment has been paid. If you pay with an E-check, I will upload your design when it clears.

REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

All blog designs are non-refundable. Sweet Cheeky Designs does not issue partial or full refunds for any reason.

CUSTOM DESIGNS

Custom designs are one of a kind designs that I spend a lot of time designing and creating especially for you. If there are a lot of demands and details that you want incorporated into the design, I will inform you of a $25 custom design fee before I start on the design.

CHANGES

Once I have showed you the design, you will have 2 rounds of changes. If there are excessive changes, I will notify you and you will be billed $25 per hour for my time. When you have approved the design and the design is installed on your blog, the design process is over and there will be no more design changes.

DESIGN IMAGES *new!*

After your design is completed, I will delete all my files/images associated with your blog design. If you are going to want header or side button changes in the near future with the same design, please discuss that with me and I will let you know what is involved in that process.

If you decide you want another designer to design for you, you do not have to contact me. Please make sure that your template is reset and remove all elements from Sweet Cheeky Designs. You may not have another designer coordinate designs to go with your Sweet Cheeky Design. Contact me for coordinating designs.

WAIT TIME

The wait time is an estimate and only an estimate. I work as quickly as possible to get to your design and spend the same amount on each customer so that you are happy with your design. Please be respectful of this and don't send me emails checking on your turn. There is a wait list queue and I also twitter so please check those first.

COMMUNICATION

I will communicate with you via email. Please check your email often while I am working on your design. I reserve the right to put your design on hold and start on the next customer if I have not heard from you within 5 days. Please contact me if you know that you are not going to be available. I am flexible and can hold your design for you only if you contact me.

DESIGN CREDIT

A Sweet Cheeky Designs button will be located on your sidebar or at the foot of your design giving back credit to my website and/or any digital designer that was used in your design. As long as you keep the design on your blog, please keep the button visible and do not delete it.

Here are some frequently asked questions about the design process and Sweet Cheeky Designs.

Do you work with Typepad or Wordpress?

At this time, I only work with Blogger. Since I am also learning and dabbling in web designing, I only have so many hours in a day.

Do you sell pre-made templates?

I do not sell them because I want each blog to reflect you. There may be a time or two that I make a blog just for the heck of it and give you the option of purchasing it. But, I will make sure that it is personalized just for you!

Is there a chance that my posts will be deleted?
I am only changing the look of your blog which includes the template and side buttons. The posts are in a completely different area. However, I do copy and download your whole blog before I begin just in case you have not upgraded to New Blogger. That way no links will be lost when I change your template.

How long does the design process take?

It usually takes me anywhere from 3-5 days to complete your blog and have it uploaded to your site. The designing process includes creating a header, side buttons, signature, recoloring text, links, and borders, and a post break that you will be happy with and I will want to use in my portfolio. It roughly takes about 15-20 minutes to upload the designs onto your site and check to make sure that everything is added properly.

Why do you have only certain designers listed to choose from?

Each designer has Terms of Use listed where they sell their digital kits. According to those Terms of Use, I cannot use their kits for commercial use without consent from them. I have gotten permission from the designers that are listed. If you see a kit that you would like me to use but it's not under my list, I will email the designer to get their permission. Sometimes it may be necessary for you to email a designer to get permission.

Why do some designers have commercial licensing fees to use their digital kits?

Even though your blog is personal, my business is commercial and to use the kits, I have to have permission plus pay a small fee in order to make money off of redesigning your blog from their product. Each designer has their own set fee.

Can I have a copy of the digital kit?

According to the designers' Terms of Use, each kit can only be used once. Therefore I will be unable to share these files.

Can I add widgets like Twitter and FeedjIt to the side of my blog without messing anything up?

Sure. You can add whatever you like to your blog. Just don't remove any of the boxes that I have set up on the Page Elements page.

Can I change out the pictures in my header?

Unfortunately, you will not be able to make changes to the design of the header. I will be happy to make the changes for a small fee. Please refer to my pricing page.

What is a Photobucket account and why do I need it?

This is a place on the web that houses all of the images that I design for you. I upload the images to Photobucket and then take the code and apply it to Blogger.

How do I know that I like the blog you designed for me before you upload it to my site?

While I am designing your blog, I upload your images on Photobucket and put the code back into my Blogger testing site. You will be able to see exactly what your blog will look like- minus your own posts, links, and profile. Then I will send you a private link where you can view the blog design that I created for you.

How do I pay you?

I will send you an invoice after you have okayed the design from the test blog. You may pay through Paypal using either your own Paypal account or a credit card. I cannot accept personal checks or money orders.

**A Note From The Designer:

You may fill out a questionnaire if you have specific requests for your blog. If you end up not going with the blog that I have designed for you, there will be a fee for my time spent designing the blog.

If there are excessive changes that I have to make despite meeting the requests on your questionnaire, there will be a charge of $25 per hour of my time. (This involves changing your mind mid-way through the design process)

Also, please respect the designer's work. I would like for you to leave a link to my blog on your blog so that others can see that Sweet Cheeky Designs designed that awesome blog for you! I would also appreciate the link to stay where I put it and not be submerged in buttons on the side of your blog. Anything that you change on your blog is a reflection on me, so please keep it clean. Thank you!

Custom Designs

If you are wanting a design that is made just for you, a custom design is definitely the way to go. I will take colors of your choice, patterns of your choice, and/or photos of your choice and make a design that will express who you are and what you want your blog to say about you.

I can design your blog using simple patterns (stripes, polka dots, damask) or if you are looking for a particular theme or illustration, you can search istockphoto which houses thousands of graphics. I do ask that you not buy anything without checking with me first- I just may have it in stock- plus, I will need the image in a certain format.

I also ask that you research and have some kind of idea on what you are looking for in a blog design. I will not design unless I have an idea of what you want and your questionnaire is completely filled in.

Let me tell you just a little bit about who I am!

I'm just a girl from Texas who likes things bigger and better! Take me out for mexican food and you have made a friend for life. I love romantic comedies, Sonic Cokes (no diet for me), anything to do with a spa, spending time with my family and girl's night out!

I have been blogging for over 5 years and since then have taught myself html and css and have taken a class on web design, Photoshop, and Illustrator. I started Sweet Cheeky Designs in August 2008 and began by designing my friends blogs. Friends started telling friends and so on and so on. Now, I get customers from all over and am very pleased with the business so far. Designing is something that I have found that I love and will spend hours on the computer until I am more than happy with a design. I will never give you a design that I am not proud of!

I am a mommy to two beautiful and sweet kids and a wife to an incredibly smart and funny guy. I love to laugh and try not to take things too seriously. Our world was rocked when our son, Riley was diagnosed with Autism at age 2. We have stared uncomfortable in the face but picked ourselves up and are doing everything in our power to help him communicate with us and be a part of our world. I believe that God hand-picked me to be Riley's mom and I am strong enough and proud enough to handle it.

After living in Texas my whole life, we moved to Northwest Arkansas in October 2008. I happen to think that Northwest Arkansas has the best schools in the world! (I still miss my Texas, though!) I plan to go back to work full time (hopefully as a graphic designer!) and hang up my stay at home mom hat that I wore for almost 9 years next fall. I will absolutely keep designing blogs and even adding websites to my design services. Anything else you want to know? Ask me! I love to talk about myself. Don't we all?

There are so many digital scrapbooking kits out there to choose from if you are wanting a blog that has a 'scrappy" look complete with photos of you and your family. Digital Scrapbooking Kits come with papers, buttons, bows, some with swirls and frames, too.

It is essential to get permission from the designers of these digital kits in order for me to use them on your blog. Below are the designers that I have worked with in the past and their commercial fees are listed below. It is up to you to pay for the design kit and fee as well as the design that I create for you.

The Process

Before you contact me and pay the deposit to receive a custom blog design,
please read through my Terms of Design. By paying the deposit, you are agreeing to these terms.

Pay the Deposit

Contact me to pay the deposit and get on the wait list. I will send you an invoice through Paypal for a $25 non-refundable deposit. This will come out of your total cost. If you don't have Paypal, you can still pay by credit card on Paypal. Sometimes I am willing to take a check if you mail it to me before the process starts.

Pick Your Package

Choose a package for your blog. I design personal, small business, and photography blogs. You can have 2 columns or 3 columns. You may also look through my designs for inspiration. I only make custom designs and I will not copy another design that I have done or that another designer has done.
Go To Packages

Dress Up Your Blog

You should have some idea of what you want your blog to look like and what statement you want to make when people visit your blog. Whether it's a custom design using colors, patterns, or graphics or more of a scrapbook look, we can make your look your own. You may look through my custom designs for inspiration or choose a digital scrapbook kit from my list of approved designers.

Fill out the Questionnaire
When you are ready to share your choices with me, copy the questionnaire into an email (not a document, please!) and fill out the form. Email to me @ tracilynn8@mac.com. I really love it when all of your information is in this one email and the logins and passwords are correct!! :)

Wait List
Once you pay your deposit, you are put on the wait list. You can check this list any time to see changes and updates. Please don't email me to see when I will get to your design or to remind me when you paid the deposit. I do have time to chat with you about your blog design, though. :)

Proofing and Editing

As soon as I have a completed design for you, I will email you the testing site and let you suggest changes (if you like) to the design so that it will be more "you" and a design that you absolutely love!

Pay and Install

Once you are extremely happy with your design, I will send you an invoice for the design, kit, and sometimes commercial fee. After your payment is received, I will install your design onto your site. I will need your blogger id and password for this. Be sure that you put the correct ones on your questionnaire!

NOTE: It is very helpful if you clean off your side columns of unwanted pictures, graphics, etc. If you have installed a template yourself, please reset your blog back to Minima white and remove all the code.

Links for your Navbar

If you want me to include a nav bar in your header, I would appreciate your help. Each word on the nav bar has to go somewhere when it is clicked. This is called a link. I am going to show you how to do this for your blog.

Let's do one together for the About Me page.

Go make a post. Title it About me and start writing a post about yourself and how you got started in your business or just about you in general. Include pictures and graphics if you like. Now, you don't want your readers to see this post as the beginning post on your blog, so let's go into the post date and time and put an older date on the post so no one will see it quite yet. Look in the left corner while you are writing a post. Click on Post Options. That will pull up a box on the bottom right that has a place for post date and time. You can put any past date in that box and then click Publish Post.

Now, go into edit posts and all of your posts will be displayed. Find the post you just did, About me. (You may want to remember the date you created!) When you see your post in the list, click on VIEW- not edit. Your About me post will show on your blog. Go to your browser and click on the url and that's your link!

It will look something like this:

http://sweetcheekyd.blogspot.com/2009/10/about-me.html

If you are wanting to link to another blog or flickr or something that is not a post that you create, simply go to the browser, click on the url and that's the link you use!
